Happy Halloweeeeeen!

This morning I wasn't moving for anything.  I remained snoozing on my bed while Devin put on boots on, then put my collar on.  It took some convincing and a piece of banana to get me to move.  The banana came first. I was holding out for something better. It never came. Up I got and went for my early morning walk.

snoozing - Devin slipped on my boots
Collar slipped on...still waiting it out. Maybe Devin will go away.
This evening when Devin came home from work, we went out for a quick walk.  There weren't too many ghosts or goblins around. *phew*  We came back home for my much anticipated supper!!!  YUM!!!

Supper, feet treatment, naps, feet treatment then bed. That's what tonight holds for me.

Devin contacted Lori Rose for more treatment stuff.  She's going to send pills and her oil mixture tomorrow.
I'm to wait 2 weeks before starting the pill treatment.

That's about it for today.  Thanks Nana for stopping by to take me out earlier.  Even if it did take you longer to dress me than my time spent outside.

We didn't blow away

It sure was windy last night.  Luckily all we really got in these parts was a lot of wind.  The power flickered a few times last night, but nothing compared to what has happened to others.

Devin and I went on several walks today. I had a greyt time sniffing and wandering about.  We stopped at Nana's on our way home from our morning walk. I flew up the driveway to say hi to Nana, my "hi" was short lived I whipped myself right around to the door to go inside.  Once inside i made my way to the snack cupboard.  I have my Nana trained well. She always gets me treats when I go over.

Once home, Devin convinced me and helped me up on the bed. I was more than willing and wanting to go on my bed to lay down, but... Devin got me up on the big bed.  It wasn't so bad sharing the bed.  I don't think I'll make a habit of it though.
Nappies after my morning walk
After my afternoon walk I sprawled out in my nest.  Devin told me I was going to get a stiff neck with the way I was turned around in there.  I was having such a good sleep, I was in full roach and ETS mode.
A little ETS... z z z z
Here is why Devin thought I was going to get a sore neck - out cold
Oh how i love my nappies
Devin snagged a few photos of my corn.  Corn 2 is really sensitive to the touch.  Corn 1 was like that too just before it broke off/fell out.

I had a wonderful time with Chicken tonight. I was full and P n' V when  Nana came over for an evening stroll with us. I was all over the place with Chicken. I had to stop a few times to get a drink of water.  Weee Weeee weeeee!

Nana is gone home now for the evening.  Time for me to have my nightly treatment and head to bed.

Hurricane Sandy - Frakenstorm

I've been lawn mowing like crazy for a few days now.  I can't get enough of the greens!  Devin's had to pull me along in the morning time to get me going. If i had it my way, i'd keep my face buried in the grass and graze all day.

After our nap this morning Devin had to run out and pick up a few things in event that we are hit by Hurricane Sandy.  We have lots of extra water and other necessities should we need them.

When we went out for our walk this evening the wind had picked up quite a bit from earlier. The leaves were blowing and the dirt was flying.  I think i'm going to need a pair of goggles if this keeps up.

On our way home from the walk our backs were against the east wind. Leaves were ambushing me, I wasn't overly impressed about this. I whipped my head around back to see what was going on, stood there and stared.  Devin told me that they were only leaves that were hitting us.  I wasn't convinced and felt the need to do the stare down; stare down at what you might ask? I'm not entirely sure. My stare was in a general area, whatever and wherever it was I made it look like I had sharp eyes on it!

fuzzy - What is that????
The stare down
Finally back home,  I played with Chicken some.  I think I'm going to retire for the evening. All that fresh air hitting on me, sure makes a guy sleepy.

Diggin'

Yesterday we went over to Melissa's. I had a greyt time in the backyard. I wandered around, sniffed lots of sniffy things.  The twins were up to no good.  They were having a digging party and didn't invite me.

When I thought that no one was watching I crept over to where they were digging and had a field day myself.  Devin caught me and told me no. I stopped dead in my digging, then started up again.  I dug like I was making my way to china, stop real quick, give a wicked little look of joy, run off, run back to my digging spot and start up. I did that a few times, then went to lay down in my usual spot. The twins flew past me, I don't know where they get all their energy from.  Watching them is like watching an unorganized race. They are all over the place!

A little while later, Devin and Melissa moved to the front yard to do some yard work.  I stayed in the house while the others got into lots of mischief.  The twins managed to eat a side of the gazebo!  I'm glad I wasn't out there.
The twins briefly stole my spot on the futon. I made comfies on the floor.
I had such an eventful. Lots of exercise!  Devin tucked me in for the night. Z z z z z
Devin has been buzzin' around the house, that can only mean one thing. Night shifts again.

Nap time!

See you tonight Nana

Flying things that go ~thump~, Park runs and Polar swims!

I woke Devin up at 4:30am this morning.  That was for waking me up yesterday morning at 4:30am to go outside. *hehe*

Devin and I were on our way to drop off my morning "deposit" when all of a sudden we heard not one, but two hard thumps followed by a squawk and feathers flapping about.

With the feathers flapping and that odd squawking, I was on high alert.  I saw what I think was a common pheasant / mourning dove fly into the side of the green car, fell to the ground, then flapped about by the rear tire before settling.  Devin told me that I needed to give the bird some time and space, that it may have hurt itself, AND that I had to leave it alone.  IE: Don't think it's a play toy.

We stood there watching it for a few moments, then walked off. On our way back we walked over to see if he/she was okay.  It took no time in gaining flight and went off into the dark morning sky.

Devin was curious about the other thump that was heard, so off we walked over across the lot to our truck.
There it was, another pheasant/dove!  It was sitting juuuuust on the top of Devin's front window, looking at us.  After a few moments it too took off into the darkness.

As much as those strange sounds had my interest, I didn't make a straight line for them.  I am enjoying the retired life. I like it when my squeaky toys come to me.

This afternoon Nana came with us to the dog park.  I ran like a madman!  Nana tossed Chicken and football for me to run after.  I had the bestest time ever!! After all my running, Devin brought me down to the beach. I took a quick dip in the water, sneaked a little sip of water, and then popped out. I was ready to head home.

Check out the photos below from today:  Oh, and no you're not seeing double. Devin found this neat function on the camera (cell phone) that allows for panoramic action shots.

*note*  We need to figure out what to do with this blog.
When Devin tried to upload photos we received a message that we couldn't upload as we exceeded our GIG Byte limit for the account.  Maybe it's time to turn this blog into a book and start new....

Excuse me Devin, can you help me here?
