False Starts and Day 20 (treatment) ~Happy 4th of July~

Devin forgot to turn the alarm clock off last night.  Needless to say when the waves started crashing and the tugboat started honking its horn, i was up and and off.  Devin quickly called me back and told me to go back to bed. *hmpft*  Apparently we weren't getting up at 4am.  Back to bed for a few hours, then up and at 'em. We had breakfast then Devin went to work on my paws for me.

When Devin removed my boot the velcor was pulled in the opposite direction while Devin tried to slip off the boot. I didn't take kindly to this and let out a yelp.  After my yelp my lips got caught up and around my teef.

 Devin was killing two birds with one stone (what a nasty expression).  While administering my paw treatment, Devin was also reading.  I tried to take a few nibbles out of Devin's literature.  I guess I'll have to learn the difference between "good" arts and craft material and "bad" stuff.

 Devin went out today leaving me with my KONGS. I pulled the empty paper roll from the garbage again, and AGAIN i left it exactly where i left it the other day.  Wish Devin would leave my things alone. I'm tired of searching them out. 

Evening treatment -  Devin's decided to try and get as many 2 day treatments in on work days.  My foot response much "gooder" when I have the treatment twice a day, rather than once a day.

Day 19 (Treatment) MORE Arts n' Crafts

Devin totally psyched me out this morning.  When the alarm clock (tugboat sound and waves crashing) went off i bolted from bed.  Breakfast time!!!

I ran directly from my bed in the bedroom into my nest.  Devin was sneaky and filled my food bowl.  I came out from my nest when Devin came out with my food bowl filled, on the counter it was placed.  I should have known from the hesitation that something was coming.

Devin quickly scooted in behind me closing my nest door. I couldn't believe what happened!  Off i was directed down the hall.  I'm slowly learning that "out" isn't a bad thing.  Devin hasn't put my boots on me for a few days now.  I walk with a concentrated look on my face, and quickly.  Perhaps if i show that i'm "tough" i can get away without having to wear them?

Anyway, back home, breakfast and KONGS were served up. 

Nana was great to come by and take me out this afternoon.  I was napping nicely on my bed until Nana came in and snapped a photo of me.

Nana forgot that she closed my nest door on me.  So when we came back in from a much needed "out", I hopped up on the couch.

I'm quite disappointment with my art supplies lately.  Devin put the same roll back in the art supply bucket (garbage).  I pulled it out and dropped it in the same place that i left it at yesterday. *phewy*

Anyone else have a corn like me??  I find i'm walking better now that it's really come to head. 

I have a concern i'd like to note.   WHERE ARE THE SPROUTS?????  There is a massive shortage in sprouts.  Anyone else having this problem??  I feel like i'm back in the "old country", ya know like Egypt...

Day 18 (Treatment) Arts and Crafts

Can you believe I slept through the fire works last night?

This morning Devin and I got up and went outside for our morning walk.  I didn't get a foot treatment before Devin went into work.  We are reserving double treatment days for days off, or by chance Devin can't sleep and is up at an ungodly hour. 

Once back in from our walk, it was breakfast time, soon followed by KONG TIME!  Off Devin went to work.

When Nana came over to check on me today I was curled up deep on my bed.  Nana thought something terrible had happened to me.  Nope, I was just out like a light.

 I worked on some arts and crafts while Devin was at work.  It wasn't my best work, but I gave it my best.
I managed to eat .5 of the 2 TP rolls that were left in the bathroom garbage; otherwise known as my arts and crafts bin.  Nana was nice and put the remaining TP rolls back in the basket for me.

 When Devin came home I was curled up in the back of my nest napping with Sheepie.

 In the 4 hours between Nana leaving and Devin coming home I decided to take on another arts and crafts project.

 We went on our evening stroll.  Devin tricked me, I was told "supper time" and as soon as i got out from my nest Devin pointed me in the direction of the door.   Foiled!!!   We went for a short walk, sans boots!
Devin and I are still compromising with boots wearing. If i don't limp, I don't have to wear them.  This evening i walked rather well without them.   On we went.

 When we came home it was time for "actual" supper.  While I gobbled that up, Devin closed the door to my nest so I couldn't run in there after my meal.    treatment time!

Day 17 (Evening Treatment)

I spent the better part of my going between the couch, my bed and my nest.  I think i'm still recouping from Friday's events.

Devin ALMOST forgot that today was my heart worm, flea/tick med day.  I didn't even bother chewing the heart worm med, i just open my throat and let it fall down into my tummy.    Now the flea/tick meds were another story.   I wasn't moving for anything, so Devin had to try and get me to move about for the application.   Good thing the couch has a cover on it!

How I spent my 2nd Canada Day

 Devin had a friend pop by for a bit today.  I let her pet me.  Nana don't get jealous, we will have our day yet. :)

I got to walk outside this evening without my boots. I didn't hobble too bad, so Devin let me get away with it.

Happy Canada Day

We are laying low today.  The heat outside is just too hot for my stringy physique.

Devin and I went for our morning walk a little later than our normal time.  Devin compromised with me, I didn't have to wear my boots until i started to get a wee bit of a limp on. If and when that happened I'd have to put them on.
I made it down the strip, but when it was time to turn back and come home, on the boots went.  Almost made it!

I'd rather just lay here than put those silly boots on.  Nope, not gonna move.

My nest door was closed on me again... Devin sure is sneaky!  On with the foot treatments...
Corn 1 is coming along nicely.  Still not ready to come out, but getting there.  Corn 2 is sloooowly showing itself.  I say slowly, but it's really only 3 applications in and its showing itself.

We don't have any plans for today.  We'll just take the day as it comes.  I'm more than content hanging out at home.
