I went to the bunk for a quick nap, Devin put up the baby gate. I wasn't sure what to think of that when I woke up. Someone let me out!!!

Making Friends With An Ottoman n' Other Stuff

I've been handling the heat lately by just laying about.  Devin has been bringing my crate out on the deck so I can enjoy the fresh air coming off the lake.  That's where I spent the good part of my afternoon yesterday.

We went for a few walks; I'm kind of getting used to walking on the uneven ground. I still prefer a soft even surface.

I took it upon myself to play with the ottoman:

I went down in my play stance and started to chew at the bottom right corner of the ottoman. Devin told me I was nuts and to stop it. :)  I continued to play for a few a little bit.  It seemed like a fun thing to do.
Devin got me to go to bed. I looked up at Devin with Doe eyes then jumped up into the bunk.

 I curled up at the foot of the bed, maybe Devin wouldn't notice I was laying there...

When Olivia was carried off to sleep with Hannah I cuddled up with Devin (above photos). Come morning time Devin was woken up by my deer legs digging in.

After our walk this morning I found myself back in bed.  It was a bit bright so i decided to use Olivia's sleep mask. shhh :)

Early Morning Walks

I had a great night with the kids; I hung out for the most part in my crate and then at the foot of the bed (on my bed).  Everyone had a greyt sleep. I wonder what today will bring?


Devin and I went on our morning walk. We started out up Aunt K.K's lane, along the highway and down Aunt Myrna's lane.  I was a good walker. I think i'm getting used to the uneven road/rocks. I choose to walk in the center of the lane for the most part, grass grows up there.  I'm a smart boy!

While walking down Aunt Myrna's road the horses caught my eye this morning. Devin and I just stood there watching them.  They are BIG! they make me look small. ha!

New Horse Friends and Family

We went for a walk tonight up Aunt Myrna's road. To the right of us in a field were two different horses. 
I stood there just watching them move about. Completely fascinated.

We walked all the way up road; to the highway then down Aunt K.K's road.  I was panting up a storm.
Devin brought me into the lake. I wasn't too keen on being lifted up off the dock, I reared back some. Devin reigned me in and walked out a few steps with me before easing me down into the water.  We stood there for a little bit while Devin moved the water up and my arm pits and back legs. I stood there without protest...well a bit of statuing going on...

Anyway, it's late. I had a busy day meeting all the children.  Lots of action going on around me.
I retreated to my crate a few times on my own; just to recompose myself.  A bit too much stimulation.
It's all good though :)

Cousin Leslie and her crew arrived last night. I wandered around a bit then found myself back in my crate and in my bunk area on my bed.  Lots of activity going on around me.  I don't mind it; when i need my quiet time i slink off.

Today Cousin Charlotte comes down with 3 of her 4.  More people to meet! :)

Horses!

Last night Devin and I went up the road for our walk.  Devin tried me on Aunt Myrna's road to see if that would make a difference in my being able to walk far. I made it alllll the way up the hill. We had a nice walk along the roadway.

We came across these HUGE horses. As soon as they heard my dog tags jiggling they perked up and followed us.  They had special covers over their face so those evil deer flies wouldn't gobble them up.

Devin was a bit concerned that the electric fence wouldn't keep them where they were at. They seemed VERY interested in us when they heard my tags jiggle. So we decided to clip along at a good pace for a bit.

Cousin Jill told Devin that they have a dog; that's probably why they were to aware of me being there.

We continued down the road until we came to Aunt K.K's. We traveled down that road without incident. I found grassy and flat patches to walk on.  My feet are kind of tender when they walk on gravel/big stones.

We went for another long walk this morning, ALMOST made it all the way up Aunt K.K's road. I was walking like i was on a mission.

Nothing really planned for today.  I've taken great joy in stealing Raya's squeaky toys.
Devin promised me we'd get a few for home.  I'm quite content entertaining myself.

I went to bed rather early last night; on Ontario time I felt the need to get up at 0100hrs.  I was yipping and barking; pacing and playing.

Devin came down from the top bunkbed to lay down on the couch to see if that would help.
Nope!  I was just a playful mood.  Finally breakfast time rolled around. I ate and calmed down some.  Then i started up again. Devin told me this was unacceptable; whatever that means??

We went for a short walk and I did what I had to do.  We booked it back to the camp. Devin went to bed on Cousin Jill's bunk.  Devin is going to switch up spots with Cousin Jill to see if that will help with me sleeping tonight. I can't see Devin way up on the top bunk.

Yesterday while Nana watched me over at Aunt K.K.'s camp I explored. I was tested out several bunkbeds before settling in on "MY" bed.

I Love Devin

My first night here at the camp was a success (july 18th 2011) I wandered a bit but finally settled in my crate.
 
Before bedtime I "finally noticed" Wiffy. She was in her mini crate on the table.  I poked my nose near her, she let out several good hisses.  They scared me, I barked a few times and quickly went off to my crate.
I don't think we can be friends. I enjoy watching her from afar though.

I went out in the lake today.  Devin picked me up off the dock and walked me out in arms some distance before carefully letting me down.  I let out a bit of a groan; the water was a BIT chilly on my nether regions. brrrrr!

I stood there statue like; not knowing what I should do next. It's an odd sensation trying to "walk" in water. At one point i tried to jump up and out of the water.  I'll get this yet. 
It was nice and refreshing.  VERY COOLING.  I haven't been going for my walks in the morning and or at night.
I kind of walk like an senior citizen on ice.  I'm more than content right now to be laying around.  Devin walks me out to do my business. I don't want any more than that. I try and make my way back to the camp when i'm "done".

I think that's about it for me.  I've just been relaxing and enjoying the camp life!
