Marathon grass chewing and potential Job at a toothpick factory

Yesterday while I was out on my afternoon walk, we ran into Dave and his Rottie "Beau".  She's always happy to see me, as I am her. We do lots of sniffies, then she tries to get me to play. I stand there looking at her while she zoomies around me.  She's so silly.  While Devin and Dave were talking, I decided to pick up small twigs and eat them.  Devin stopped me a few times, and took them out from my mouth. Devin told me that if i didn't stop it I was going to end up pooping toothpicks.  Whatever that means?? *chomp chomp chomp*   It soon became a losing battle, Devin just let me chomp on them.
  *Twigs, my new favorite thing!*

Last night I had a major case of the ETS's.  While laying on the couch- post corn treatment, my tongue found its way out of my mouth.  Apparently Devin found this to be quite amusing, as there were several photos taken of me like this.  *hmpft*

This morning**
I woke up at 0332hrs, I let out a few whimpers, Devin got up to see what the matter was. I NEEDED to go outside.  Devin slipped on my collars and opened the door.  I ran full speed down the hall to the second door and up the stairs and to the "outside" door. I waited eagerly for Devin to clip on my leash.  I flew out the front door with Devin on the other end and made it straight for the grass.  I mowed, mowed and mowed some more.  Devin could hear my stomach gurgling while I mowed away that the grass.

After 9 mins of grass eating, Devin asked me if we could go inside.  I followed Devin inside, I laid down on my bed, with my stomach still gurgling, I let out a little whimper, Devin asked me if I had to go outside.

I shot to the door again.  We took a nice stroll through the village, I nibbled some grass, had a few pees and sniffed about.  The stars were shinning brightly in the sky. While I sniffed about, Devin stood looking up and around.  We agreed that "country" living is nice.   We walked the loop,  My gurgled less after I took care of things.   Once back home, we went to bed until 0722hrs ( i have something with the number 2, ha no pun intended today), I was ready for my breakfast. Up we got, I ate my breakfast, then stood around looking "off".   Devin asked me what was wrong, I just stood there looking kind of lost with my tail hanging down.

Devin asked me if I needed to go outside, I didn't react in a very enthusiastic way. I moved rather slowly.
Going from half standing on my bed, to standing in the middle of the living room, to back over near my bed.

Devin dressed me up in my "cold weather gear", and off we went for a morning walk. I didn't venture too far away from Devin, I pretty well stuck near by.    My stomach was all out of sorts today - Devin thinks it might have been the chicken foot I had yesterday.  My tummy isn't used to them.  Good thing Devin is a good catcher!!  Thank you Lucy's Mum for showing us the "catchers mitt".  After that, I trotted off. My stomach felt much better!

Too much information sometimes, I know.  :)

Once home, Devin gave me my morning corn treatment. A  little tug and shift on Corn 2, just to remind it that it needs to come out.  Corn 1 hole still being treated. Corn 1 area is rather squishy to the pinchy touch.
Because I didn't have my socks on long last night, Devin decided to put my socks on after my morning treatment.

Now i'm just relaxing on my bed beside the couch.

Ch Ch Changes!

Wow,

We've been real busy in these parts lately.  Devin decided to change out the colour of the apartment.
We used to have a chocolate brown wall and a deep blue/greyish colour on the opposite wall that ran down the hallway.  Devin changed those two colours out with a "Peddlewheeler Grey" colour.  It sure has brightened the place up.  I managed to stay out of the way for the most part.  Come supper time last night I couldn't contain myself. I tore up the hallway, I managed to get a grey spot on my back.  I like to think of it as highlights.  :D

Today Devin finished painting.  I almost managed to fly down the hallway when I heard Nana's key in the door. Devin put a stop to that pretty quick, as the paint was still drying.  I waited for Nana in the living room.
*hmpft*

Since starting my thyroid meds, I've been pretty excited and happy to see Nana.  OH!!! Guess what?
Speaking of thyroid meds, yesterday while Devin was in the store picking up the paint, i stayed in the truck with Melissa.  Melissa reached back to give me scritches.  I didn't flash any teeth at all at her.  Normally, I'll throw her a look. I just kept looking out the window.   Progress...Maybe someday Nana will try and pet me out of the blue like that too.  Once bitten, twice shy, I get it.  Truce Nana?

Corn News -
I believe it was October 14th, 2012 when Devin discovered I was missing a corn.  Devin gave me my treatment before leaving for work. It was thought that I was being treated on the wrong toe, then Devin realized that my corn had fallen off!  Devin did a search on the floor and found it in the hallway.  Maybe it snagged on the carpet when I ran in from my morning out.  It looks like the corn has sheered itself off. When Devin runs a fingernail along my pad, it feels like there's still corn like piece in the hole on my pad.  Lori (Ireland) said she's never heard of that happening before, Devin is to keep oiling and treating me.  Again, it's working from the inside out to heal. *paws crossed*

So those are really the only two major changes going on in these parts. Home renos and missing corns.
Ooh, one more thing.  Last night I went for a ride to pick up two bags of frozen chicken feet!
I'm in heaven!  Devin thawed a foot for me today. I had a lovely time chomping on it.  I know I likely gave Devin visions of me chocking on the foot.  I chewed it a littttttle bit before swallowing it. *burp*

Photos from the past couple of days:

Devin thought I was chilly. I didn't complain. Snug as a bug in a rug
resting on Lambie
Hmmm... What does Devin have going on today? (wandering around in my socks)
Guess I'll make myself comfy - morning treatment
Whoa is me...
Are we almost done here?

Spa Day and Chicken Feet

The day started off like any other day. Devin came home from night shift, we went for our morning stroll, I had breakfast then went back to bed.
Around 11am, Devin woke up to find me laying out in the hall - I do this when I'm thinking about going outside, but i'm not too sure how to ask.  Devin asked me if i wanted to go out, I got up and off we went for a mini walk.

When we came back in I had my teeth brushed for me; then it wasn't long after that Nana came by and I ended up in the tub.  I should have known the bath that was drawn was for me, and not Devin.  I did the creeping along protest with my head almost between my front legs, as i was steered into the bathroom.  Devin told me to get in, reluctantly I stepped in, one foot at a time until I had all four feet in there.  Devin poured water down my back, I think i'm part duck, as the water just repelled right off of me.  The shower head came out next.  Nana told Devin that she thought I was wet enough; *hint hint* lets get the bathing part going.  I was soaped up and lathered good. It seemed to take forever for Devin to rinse me off.  Nana gave me a piece of dried beef liver while I stood there patiently getting rinsed off.

I haven't scratched since having my bath; I suppose this bathing thing isn't such a terrible thing.
Oh, I almost forgot.  After Devin rinsed me off, out came that darn ear cleaning stuff.  Devin went to put some in my ear and I acted like I was about to be beaten.  My Drama Queen Diva side came out in me.  Devin didn't even so much as touch the outside of my ear when I started to squirm and make a wee bit of a scene.  Devin told me "I didn't even touch you yet".  I guess I should work the timing of my "Dramatic Diva" ways a little better, ya know, so they correspond with when i'm actually having something done to me.  haha

My ears were cleaned with success. No cold liquid in them, just on Kleenex and a little digging.  After I was dried off I made my way to my nest, where I continued to give Devin dirty looks for a few hours.

We went out for an evening stroll and got caught in a bit of a cloud burst.  My second shower of the day!
Dried off and toddled off into my nest for the evening.

7 more days until my First Gotcha DaY!
