Getting Caught Up....

It's been busy around there lately.  Doesn't look like it's going to wind down much before the weekend either..
We went on our morning walk together. The rain was coming down, but that didn't stop us. I kept my snood up over my ears/head. We stopped by Nana's for a quick moment before heading home.  I found the cookie jar in the garage *NOM NOM*   I kept looking and sniffing at the jar, so Nana gave me a cookie.


Devin had to leave shortly after we were home.  That was okay though; just before Devin went out I was given 5 (F I V E) KONGS filled with kibble/frozen yogurt goodness!!!! 

Earlier on this afternoon we went to Pet Valu.  I was a hit (as always) with everyone who walked into the store.  Always getting love and kind words.  
Devin picked up some more Ar'Ful dehydrated liver for me. *nom nom nom* and a plushy comfy bed for me to use for my training.

Once home we did some target touch training. I was quick to figure out "lay down" (again).  I didn't miss a beat with the target touching either.

I do get myself in some odd positions while laying inside my "nest".  Devin came walking by the other day and wondered how on earth i got my leg up like that (i was laying on the hip of that leg i have up in the air).

And You Had No Faith In Me....

This morning we did our usual "Day Shift" routine.  I went back to bed after having my breakfast; Devin puttered about a bit.  I normally stay in bed, but this morning I decided to get out of bed as Devin was just about to leave and plopped myself down - giving Devin "those eyes".  The "Oh yeah, you're leaving, I'll show you.....Maybe" eyes.

Devin was apprehensive about leaving for work, but it had to be done.  I continued to lay there.  Devin continued down the hall, no peeps could be heard from me.

Nana came by this afternoon to take me out for a lil' walk. Nana sure is sneaky. She's still keeping with the frozen bean trick.  She didn't even come in to see me, I heard the beans drop in my bowl and I came running!

When Nana came by it was snowing; she dressed me up in my winter coat, snood n' all. I have the patience of a saint to stand there while being dressed up. 

Nana couldn't stay long, she had to get to work.  Before leaving she gave me my KONG filled with frozen goodness!!


When Devin came home from work I was found vegged out on the "big bed".  I managed to twirl around throughout the day; moving the quilt aside to snuggle down into the pillows and fuzzy blanket. 
It's a GREYT life!

Training Devin - wrapped around my paw

I was a bit turned around this morning when Devin went to leave for work (training). 
The time was off, the routine was off.  I was okay for a moment when Devin faked me out by putting a work t'shirt on. I settled into my bed.  Then got up to see what was going on while Devin ate breakfast.
That unsettled concerned look earned me a KONG.  I sure have Devin trained!

I was given the KONG then Devin disappeared for the day :(
Nana came by to take me out this afternoon.  Nana things i'm trying to kill her.  I take Devin on short walks, meanwhile I take Nana on the full loop most days. hehe

When Devin came home we had some playtime together.  I chased Christmas Snake down the hall and back, then we played with the KONG stick.  Devin managed to get me to lay down with a verbal command.
It took a few requests to get me to do that task; I was confused and paced a bit before it "clicked" with what was expected of me.  I laid myself down and was rewarded with lots of scratches and praise.

We did some Target Touch training this evening too.  Devin tried something different towards the end of our session.  Devin tried to get me to touch Christmas Snake instead of Devin's hand.  I wasn't too sure about that one.  Something new for us to work on together.  Maybe I can become a helper dog??  Visit nursing homes??? I'd be great to lay with people.  I'd be in heaven bed surfing!!!   Hmmmm....
Perhaps that is something I could work towards.


Random*  I've taken to relocating Devin's fuzzy (fuzzy in below photo) when left alone.
Today when Devin came home It was dropped near my toy box.  I guess you could say I got tired from dragging it from our bed out into the living room.  I'm trying to earn my keep. It's hard to fold clothing when you're all paws....

Me last night.  For the Love Of God Devin turn off the bedroom light!
