School Took A Lot Outta Me .....
I am so beat!
After supper tonight Devin and I did a bit of target touch training. I'm so food driven, it's a fun exercise for me.
Towards the end though I lost interest and went into my "nest", as soon as Devin dropped a "reward" on the ground, i came running out of my nest.
Feeling pretty beat though, we didn't go very far on our evening stroll. From all the standing I did at Shannoncourt, my front leg/shoulder is bothering me some.
After my walk I wandered back into my nest; I haven't budged much; so very tired.

My First Day At School!
First things first though -
Last night Devin came to see where I was at. I was slowly moving my way out from my "nest".
This morning Devin and I went for a walk around the big loop. The weather wasn't overly wonderful; a bunch of drizzle was falling upon us. Meh - Sure beats the pouring rain though!
I was being a bit on the lazy side when Devin gave me my deer antler to munch on. I stayed laying on my side and nom nom nom'd it from there.
I took the opportunity to rest on Devin's bed before it was time for us to leave for "school".
After my morning meltdown occurred (Devin went out to clean the car and left me inside) I was afraid i'd be left behind. Needless to say I was more than excited when Devin told me it was "time to go to school".
My tail was wagging a mile a minute!
Nana and Devin sat down and talked with Shannon for a while about me and my quirks. Shannon, Devin, Nana and myself went to the gym after our long talk and did some recall training. Nana was given the clicker and taught how to get me to come. What to do when i'm not listening - to get my attention.
Devin mentioned to Shannon that maybe we'd like to get a job for me; Suggestion by Devin was perhaps a therapy dog in a nursing home of sorts. Shannon told Devin that I'm 99% good, but that 1% could be a problem IE: if an older person or rather someone who is not completely present, might make an odd sound and grab at me, that could end poorly. Instead she suggested that I try search and rescue - as i like to use my nose, OR Tri-ball. Tri-Ball is where there are three (3) Pilates balls, I'm release and have to get the balls into the net at the other end.
Devin is going to go with the search and rescue - Unfortunately with Devin's schedule we can't do group classes, private lessons are the way to go. Nonetheless, Devin believes it's a greyt investment for me (so do I!). It gives me something to do, something to look forward to.
That's it for now. z z z

Winter Blahs
I like it when there is fresh snow on the ground. I get an evil case of the zoomies! hehe Last night I tried to take Nana for a run a few times. Good thing she had me close by when I decided to try and launch myself forward.
Devin worked nights these past few days. I've done really well on my own. Each night I've been given a cup of food, then just before Devin heads out the door I'm given the balance of my supper in my KONGS.
No crying, upset no nothing. Shannon from Shannoncourt was right!
Since Devin relocated my first bed into my "nest", i haven't slept much in the bedroom. I'll go in there for a little bit, but for the most part i can be found out in my "nest". The current bed beside the "big bed" isn't as comfy. Devin tried to jack it up with blankets n' stuff, but it's just not the same. Meh*
Here's a rare glimpse of me sleeping on my bed in the bedroom.
While Nana dropped by today we did some "target training". I was tuckered out after my session.
I'm really doing well with the "COME MILO" command. Well only during the training sessions, but it will come. :)
After supper Devin managed to round me up and put me in my jacket. Apparently it was time to go outside. *ugh* I had already been out this morning at 6am. Isn't that enough????
Also in SAD NEWS****
Nan is moving at the end of April :( Her and her family are moving back to town. I've gone from 2 greyt friends to having no greyt friends (soon). First Lucy, now Nan. Maybe come spring I can make some more at the park?? Just not the same....

Turned around and Pink Footballs
Oh I feel so disorganized. Devin's night shifts have me all turned around.
I had a few issues Saturday night when Devin went to leave for work. I had a mini melt down which required Nana to come to my rescue. I had settled down by the time Nana came near the apartment. Well i settled for a moment then started up a cry. Nana took me outside. I had to go to the washroom. Tummy cramps! Thank goodness for Nana!

Took Devin forever to get me out of my "nest". I was ready to finally go out though. |

Saturday night - Giving Devin the eyes instead of going to lay on the "big" bed or in my nest. Apparently this look is the one i give when i'm going to have some "issues" |

Defeated. *le sigh* |
Yoga - Greyhound sleep poses...
Devin and I brought me to fill up the water jug. On our way home we decided to stop in Petsmart to check out the new store. I was given lots of attention by the staff and costumers.
Sweet score! Pink football. Who says pink isn't for boys?? Devin put back the football on me a few times.
I was pretty insistent on taking it home with me. Another one for my toy box. Actually it's staying out in the car. Devin said we can take it to the park with us when we go.

We stopped by Nana's on our way home from town.....
I made myself at home :)
I did really well today.
*sat without being asked
*laid down without being asked
*rolled over without being asked
*stayed on my "training bed" while Devin went down the hall telling me to "wait". Once out of sight, told me to come, and up i went down the hall.
*roll over became confusing a few times... I worked it out though..
